I just released the Lifelike Alarm Clock and Weather HD entirely designed in Keynote using Mockapp (no photoshop or other tool whatsoever). I released it in collaboration with PostIndustria: amazing mobile dev firm out of Ukraine. Highly recommended if you need a mobile app built in no time at reasonable cost. 1. functionally excellent BUT it all looks more than a bit 80’s retro
2. PROBLEM: much as I’d like to have something that does this I couldn’t live with the ‘radio-look’. That 80’s wooden surround etc. may appeal to the US market
which tends to like heavy looking stuff, but the euro-minimalist market requires something MUCH cleaner looking – try something with digital time – ?
3. PROBLEM: the weather element – ‘Right Now’ is a given and thus unnecessary clutter; ‘Sunny’ is a given due to the presence of the large sun icon and thus, again, unnecessary clutter . The weather icons ‘work’ and have immediate delivery impact
